Box

A "box" deal is always reserved for a company whose primary product is a subscription service that arrives at a regular interval at the customer's door and that contains pre-selected items by the company in question.

The most notable company who has made it with the box model is Birch Box. In Season Five, Mark Cuban invested in Plated, a meal delivery service that would bring all of the ingredients to cook two to five complete meals to customer's doors. (Famously, and as described in Beyond the Tank, this deal fell through though Kevin O'Leary stepped in.)

Compared to food, retail, or utility deal types, Shark Tank does not appear to air more than a handful of these deal types per season with Season Nine having none at all.
